🔌 Function

The cable kit supplies protected electrical power to the DC/DC converter. The circuit breaker protects the cable and connected equipment from overload or short-circuit current.

• Isolate the batteries first, and lay the new cables alongside the old to confirm lengths and routing before anything is cut, clipped or connected
• Keep to the original route and support intervals, well clear of hot surfaces, sharp edges and moving parts, with grommets or sleeving wherever the run passes through a panel or bracket
• Clean every terminal and earth face to bright metal and tighten to the specified figure, then protect the joint — a poor earth shows up later as a dozen unrelated electrical faults
• Fit the kit complete, including its fuses, holders, boots, seals and ties; those protective parts are what make it a marine installation rather than just wire
• Leave a little slack across flexible mountings, reconnect the batteries last, and check the affected circuits through before closing everything up
