🛠️ Service Notes

• Shut off the fuel and be ready to catch what is in the float bowl and lines; work with the compartment blower running and no source of ignition nearby
• Fit new gaskets at the manifold and at the fuel union, check the manifold face is clean and flat, and tighten evenly to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine
• Renew the fuel line sealing washers and check the lines and clips for chafe and hardening while access is good — a fuel leak in a closed engine space is the serious risk here
• Refit the flame arresting intake parts fully and securely before the engine is started, and leave factory settings alone except where the manual gives a procedure and a specification for your engine
• Check the whole fuel side by eye and by smell for leaks before the first start, then again with the engine warm and idling
