Volvo Penta cabin air heater rated at 10 kW on a 12 V supply, built with 60 mm outlets, weighing 5.987 kg. It is the only heater in the range listed with 60 mm outlets - the other four are all 55 mm - so the outlet diameter, not the output or the voltage, is what separates it from 21621753. Like the rest of the range it takes heat from the engine's closed-circuit cooling system, with a three-speed radial fan, a copper and brass heat exchanger, a stainless steel casing, four outlets supplied and a 16 mm water connection.

🔌 Function

Circulates engine coolant through a heat exchanger while a three-speed fan pushes cabin air across it, delivering up to 10 kW of heat to 60 mm ducting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Fan not running at one or more of its three speeds
• Little or no cabin heat with the engine at working temperature
• Coolant weeping from the heat exchanger or its connections
• Air trapped in the coolant circuit, with the heater gurgling
• Airflow dropping off as the intake or ducting blocks

• Order the 60 mm ducting to match - hose 21656856, nozzle 21656853 and Y-connector 21656860
• 21621753 is the same 10 kW 12 V heater with 55 mm outlets, so confirm the duct size before ordering either
• It can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and trapped air is released through a separate bleed valve
• The stainless steel casing and copper/brass heat exchanger are chosen to give long service in a harsh onboard atmosphere
• The heater can be installed above the engine, and any air trapped in the coolant can be released through a separate bleed valve
• Optional extras include air hoses, hose connections and various types of air valves
