Engine oil pan used on a serial-specific Volvo Penta heavy-duty inline-six diesel. The current pan replaces earlier OEM reference 21333671 and forms the engine-oil reservoir while supporting the oil pickup, drain and level-monitoring equipment.

🛠️ Service Notes

• Clean both faces down to bare metal and remove every trace of old gasket or sealant; a hardened ridge will hold the pan off its face and leak
• Check the flange for distortion around the bolt holes — pans are routinely pulled out of shape by over-tightening and will not seal until the flange is flat again
• Fit a new gasket, or apply sealant only where the manual for your engine specifies it; where sealant is used, assemble and tighten within its working time and let it cure before adding oil
• Tighten evenly in stages, working out from the centre, to the figures and sequence in the workshop manual — even tightening matters far more here than force
• Renew the drain plug sealing washer, clean the pickup and strainer while the pan is off, and refill with the grade and quantity specified for your engine before starting
