21656846 Hose Connection | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta hose connector kit for a 50 mm outlet, used on the cabin air heater installation. The heaters are supplied with four outlets of 55 mm diameter as standard, so this kit is what adapts a run to 50 mm ducting. It weighs 0.068 kg and supersedes 41103304, earlier catalogued as a hose connection. The 60 mm kit is 21656848 and the 55 mm kit 21656847, and at 0.068 kg against 0.070 kg for the 60 mm version the published weights are 2 grams apart, so the outlet diameter is the only thing to order by.

⚙️ Key Features

• Hose connector kit, 50 mm outlet diameter
• For the cabin air heater range
• Heater outlets are 55 mm as standard, so this kit steps the run down to 50 mm
• 0.068 kg
• Supersedes 41103304
• Outlet diameter: 50 mm
• Fits: Volvo Penta air heaters

🔌 Function

Connects 50 mm warm-air ducting to the heater or to a distribution fitting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Warm air pressure dropping at the cabin outlets
• Duct pulling part way off the joint, blowing heat into a locker or void instead of the cabin
• Joint whistling or roaring where air is escaping past a loose connection
• Fitting or duct end found cracked, split or crushed
• Melting or discolouration where the joint sits close to the heater outlet

🛠️ Service Notes

• The 50 mm size must match the duct, nozzle and heater outlet throughout the run, since mixing 50, 55 and 60 mm parts leaves a joint that will not seal
• The 55 mm kit is 21656847 and the 60 mm kit 21656848, and only 2 grams separate the 50 mm and 60 mm kits, so order by diameter
• Adjustable nozzles and hose are listed in 50, 55 and 60 mm to match, so keep one diameter through the whole run
