21656849 Hose Connection | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Hose connector kit for the 80 mm air-intake side of the Volvo Penta cabin air heater, weighing 0.109 kg. The accessories catalogue lists it as the hose connector kit for the air intake at 80 mm outlet diameter, the only 80 mm item among the four connector kits offered - the other three are the 50 mm, 55 mm and 60 mm warm-air sizes. The air heater draws its heat from the engine's closed-circuit cooling system, and the intake ducting feeds the fan that pushes air across the heat exchanger.

⚙️ Key Features

• Hose connector kit for the air-intake side
• 80 mm outlet diameter
• 0.109 kg
• The 55 mm connector kit is 21656847; the intake hose in the same 80 mm size is 21656857
• Order the connector kits by their stated duct diameter, not by weight
• Outlet diameter: 80 mm
• Fits: Volvo Penta air heaters

🔌 Function

Joins the 80 mm air-intake hose to the heater's intake so the fan draws through a sealed duct rather than open engine-space air.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Heater struggling for air, running hot or cycling on its own protection
• Intake hose pulled part way off the connection
• Air noise at the joint when the heater fan is running
• Connection found cracked, split or distorted out of round
• Debris or dust drawn in at a loose joint and found in the heater intake

🛠️ Service Notes

• This is the 80 mm air-intake side connection, not a warm-air delivery fitting - the delivery connector sizes are 50, 55 and 60 mm
• The heater ships with four outlets, standard 55 mm, so check which sizes your installation actually uses before ordering connectors
