🚤 Compatibility

- Volvo Penta TAD1380-82GE
- Volvo Penta TAD1180-83VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1381-85VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1384-85VE-IWP
- Engine Family: TAD
⚙️ Key Features
- TAD11 rocker-arm assembly
- Controls rocker and caliper spacing
- Precision machined length
- Supports stable valve-train alignment
- 3 used per assembly
🔌 Function
The spacer maintains the specified lateral position of the rocker-arm components on the shaft.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Rocker-arm side play
- Spacer worn or cracked
- Rocker misalignment
- Uneven valve actuation
🛠️ Service Notes
- Refit the spacer in the same position and the same way round as it came out; many spacers set an end float, an alignment or a preload and are not simply packing
- Never leave a spacer out, substitute plain washers for it, or stack washers to make up a missing one
- Keep the faces clean, flat and free of burrs and old sealant, and check the spacer itself for wear, scoring or having been drawn down out of shape
- Where several spacers or shims come out together, keep them in order and refit them in the same sequence
- Tighten the fastening to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine, then check any clearance or end float the spacer controls
