Compact self-priming FBP20 bilge pump with an ignition-protected 24-volt DC motor, stainless-steel shaft and oil-resistant flexible impeller. It is designed for intermittent engine-room bilge service and remote manual or automatic control.

🔌 Function

Removes bilge water by creating suction through a flexible-impeller pump head and discharging it overboard.

🛠️ Service Notes

• Mount the pump at the lowest point of the bilge where it will actually pick up, sitting level and secured so it cannot topple or shift at sea, and keep it clear of debris that would jam the impeller
• Take the discharge hose up to a loop above the waterline before it turns down to the outlet so the sea cannot siphon back into the boat, and clamp the hose properly at both ends
• Wire the pump on its own protected circuit with cable sized for the length of the run, and make every connection above the level bilge water can reach, using proper waterproof joints rather than tape
• Test the pump and its float or sensing switch by filling the bilge and watching it lift, run and cut out, and repeat the test at the start of each season
• Treat it as a nuisance-water pump rather than damage control — keep the strainer clear and the bilge dry enough that a new leak would be obvious
