Oil-pump mounting gasket used across Volvo Penta D5 and D7 industrial and generator engines. It seals the oil-pump joint against suction-side air entry and pressurised engine-oil leakage.

🔌 Function
Seals the oil pump to its mounting face, keeping air out of the suction side and pressurised oil inside the pump joint.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Oil seeping from behind the pump onto the sump or block
- Low or fluctuating oil pressure once warm
- Pump sounding noisy or drawing air at idle
- Old gasket found crushed, torn or hard on strip-down
🛠️ Service Notes
- Fit dry to clean, dry faces unless the workshop manual for the engine specifies otherwise, and scrape the old gasket off completely
- Air drawn in at this joint mimics a worn pump, so renew the gasket before condemning the oil pump
