21686934 Spacer Sleeve | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta spacer sleeve from the Ignition and Control Systems group, published at 0.016 kg. Sleeve 21686935 sits in the same group at 0.058 kg. The two are separate parts and the published weights differ, but nothing in the published figures tells you which fits your position - order by the part number your parts list gives.

⚙️ Key Features

• 0.016 kg
• Ignition and Control Systems group
• Paired in this run with sleeve 21686935, which is a different part at 0.058 kg
• Order by part number - the weights do not tell you which position each sleeve serves

🔌 Function

Sets and holds the standoff between a mounted component and its mounting face, so the fastener clamps to a fixed length instead of crushing the assembly.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Mounted component sitting loose or able to rock on its fastener
• Sleeve crushed, belled or split at one end
• Fastener that will not hold torque
• Bright fretting marks on the ends of the sleeve
• Component cracked around its mounting boss from being clamped without the spacer

🛠️ Service Notes

• If a spacer has crushed, check the component it stood off for a cracked mounting boss before refitting
• Sleeve 21686935 is the other spacer in this group - confirm the number before ordering, because the two are not interchangeable
