Machined connector used in the engine lubricating-oil cooler circuit. It joins the oil-cooler housing, pipe or hose while providing the correct sealed passage and installed spacing.

🔌 Function

Joins the oil cooler to the pipe or hose that serves it, carrying the sealed oil passage and holding the correct spacing at the joint.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping from the oil-cooler connection
  • Oily film building on the block or sump below the cooler
  • Oil pressure slightly down, or oil temperature up, once the joint starts to bypass
  • Sealing faces or threads found damaged when the joint is opened

  • Renew the sealing rings at the joint whenever this connector is disturbed
