⚙️ Key Features

• Genuine Volvo Penta electrical component
• Factory connector keying and wire lengths
• Marine-grade insulation and terminal protection
• Designed for the original control-system generation
• Serial-specific connector and routing check required
• Engine type: Electronically controlled inline-six industrial diesel

🔌 Function

Carries power, ground, communication or sensor signals between the connected engine and control-system components.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Communication with the ECU lost or intermittent, with codes appearing and clearing as the machine moves
• Engine cutting out or refusing to crank when the loom is moved by hand
• Corroded, bent or backed-out pins in the connectors at either end
• Outer sheath chafed or cut where the extension crosses a bracket or panel edge
• Low supply voltage or sensor reference faults at the ECU caused by a poor contact

🛠️ Service Notes

• The 1.5 m and 3.0 m extensions are separate part numbers, so measure the run from the engine to the remote ECU position before ordering
• Check the pins in both mating connectors before condemning the extension, as most faults are in the contacts
• Clip the extension along its whole route and keep it clear of hot or moving parts, as chafe is the usual cause of failure
