21697342 Valve | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta valve manufactured for the original engine, drive or vessel-system installation. Correct model, serial number and surrounding component configuration should be confirmed before ordering.

⚙️ Key Features

• 0.018 kg
• Supersedes 21419969, which was catalogued as a hollow screw
• Listed against 13 applications in cost records on TAD series engines
• Now catalogued as a valve rather than a plain hollow screw

🔌 Function

Controls flow through its passage in the circuit it serves, opening or restricting the path while sealing at the joint it is fitted to.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Weeping or seepage at the union the valve is fitted into
• Pressure in the circuit lower or slower to build than it should be
• Symptom clearing briefly after the fitting is disturbed, then returning
• Internal passage found blocked with debris, or sealing faces scored on strip-down

🛠️ Service Notes

• The number it replaces, 21419969, was catalogued as a hollow screw, so an older parts list may show a plain screw where this valve is now supplied - check what is actually fitted before ordering
• Renew the sealing washers at the union when the fitting is disturbed
