🔌 Function

Transfers heat from compressed intake air to the cooling circuit so the engine receives a denser, cooler charge under load.

  • Black smoke and a clear loss of power under load
  • Boost pressure reading below normal
  • Oil or coolant traces appearing in the charge-air pipework
  • Fins found bent, fouled or packed with debris
