🔧 Product Description
A genuine Volvo Penta spacer sleeve used in Volvo Penta TAD5 industrial diesel engine assemblies. It is manufactured to the factory dimensions and operating specification for the catalogued installation.
🚤 Compatibility
- HP Range: Approximately 160-250 HP
- Year Range: Approximately 2010 - 2021
⚙️ Key Features
- 0.025 kg
- Supersedes 21664672, catalogued earlier as a bushing
- Listed against 3 applications in cost records on TAD series engines
- Spacer sleeve
🔌 Function
Holds the designed gap between two components and carries the clamp load across it, so the fixing can be tightened without pulling the parts together.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Fixings found slack at service, or loosening again after tightening
- Component sitting out of line or fouling its neighbour
- Rattle or knock from the assembly the sleeve positions
- Sleeve found crushed, bell-mouthed or worn on strip-down
🛠️ Service Notes
- The number it replaces, 21664672, was catalogued as a bushing, so an older parts list may call for a bush where this spacer sleeve is now supplied
- Check the sleeve's ends for crushing before reusing it, and never substitute washers for it
