• On installations where the cooling fan or a drive pulley is carried on the pump, transfer it squarely and check belt alignment afterwards; set belt tension to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine.
• Refill with the coolant specified for your engine, bleed the system, run it up to operating temperature and then check the pump joint and the weep hole for leaks and re-check the level once cold.
