🔌 Function

Preheats the engine coolant and block to improve cold starting, reduce initial white smoke and shorten warm-up time.

• Heater does not warm the engine

• Damaged supply cable or connector
• Corrosion, scale or internal element failure

🛠️ Service Notes

• Isolate the battery before disconnecting a heater, and check the supply, the earth and any fuse or relay in the circuit before condemning the heater itself
• Fit new gaskets, O-rings or sealing washers where the heater seals into a housing or a fluid path, and clean the seating face first
• Where the heater sits in a fluid, make sure the system is filled and the element is covered before it is powered — a heating element run dry destroys itself quickly
• Tighten to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine, keep the electrical connections clean, dry and fully seated, and check for leaks and for correct operation once the system is refilled
