🔧 Product Description
A genuine Volvo Penta housing used in Volvo Penta TAD8 timing-gear and auxiliary-drive systems. It is manufactured to the factory dimensions and operating specification for the catalogued installation.
🚤 Compatibility
- HP Range: Approximately 250-400 HP
- Year Range: Approximately 2010 - 2021
⚙️ Key Features
- Other Electrical Equipment group housing
- The published weight of 0.001 kg is too low to identify this part by, so order strictly by number
- No engine fitment list is published against this number
🔌 Function
Encloses and protects an electrical component or connection, holding it in position and shielding the contacts from water, oil and mechanical damage.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Intermittent operation of the circuit that worsens with vibration or damp weather
- Housing cracked, distorted by heat, or its latch broken so it no longer clips shut
- Green or white corrosion on the contacts inside once opened
- Seal or grommet perished, with water tracking into the housing
🛠️ Service Notes
- Neither a usable weight nor a fitment list is published for this number, so confirm it against the engine's own wiring parts list for your engine before ordering
- Renew the seal or grommet with the housing, since water ingress is the usual reason the housing is being replaced
📦 Condition
- Genuine Volvo Penta part
- Brand new
- Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
