Mounting bracket for the aftertreatment control module used in Volvo Penta TAD13 and TWD16 SCR systems. It positions the module away from heat and vibration while maintaining harness routing.

🔌 Function

Mounts the aftertreatment control module and holds it in the designed position, keeping it away from the worst of the exhaust heat and vibration while the harness follows its intended route.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Aftertreatment or emissions warnings that come and go with vibration
  • Module found hanging on its harness, or sitting closer to hot pipework than it should
  • Harness chafed or its connectors strained where the module has moved
  • Bracket cracked at a fixing hole or its rubber isolators collapsed on inspection

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the module's isolators and fasteners before condemning the module itself, since heat and vibration reaching it through a failed mount cause faults that look electrical
  • Refit the harness on its original route and clear of hot surfaces once the bracket is back in place
