🔧 Product Description

Engine-driven lubricating-oil pump for D11B1-A marine engines. It draws oil through the strainer and supplies the main lubrication galleries at the pressure and volume required by the engine.

🔌 Function

Draws lubricating oil from the sump and delivers pressurised oil to bearings, piston-cooling circuits and other engine lubrication points.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Low oil-pressure warning
  • Delayed pressure after starting
  • Bearing or valve-train noise
  • Scored pump surfaces or excessive clearance
  • Metal debris or damage from contaminated oil

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Work clean: the pump and the whole lubrication circuit must be free of debris, and if the old pump failed, flush the system and renew the oil and filter before running
  • Renew the gaskets, O-rings and seals on the pump's joint faces and pick-up, and check the pick-up and any strainer or screen is clear
  • Prime the pump with clean engine oil on assembly so it picks up straight away, and turn it by hand to confirm it is free
  • Fit the drive to the pump exactly as the manual describes, and check gear or rotor clearances against the figures given for your engine before closing up
  • Tighten the pump and its pipework to the workshop manual figures, then confirm oil pressure comes up promptly on first start and shut down at once if it does not
