• Cracked fittings or damaged sealing faces

🛠️ Service Notes

• Depressurise and drain the circuit before disconnecting, and cap or plug the open ends immediately; a pressure circuit is unforgiving about dirt getting in
• Renew the sealing washers or O-rings at the unions rather than reusing them, and keep the sealing faces spotless
• Fit the hose without twist — let it take its natural curve, secure one end first and only then the other, and keep the bend radius generous
• Tighten unions to the figure in the workshop manual for your engine; overtightening distorts the seat and causes more leaks than undertightening
• Route clear of hot surfaces, sharp edges and moving parts, secure the hose on its clips, then refill, bleed and check every union with the system brought up to full working pressure
