🔧 Product Description

Formed coolant hose in the TAD1140-TAD1142VE cooling / expansion-tank circuit. Its moulded route and connection sizes are engine-installation specific.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

• Volvo Penta TAD1180-83VE
• Volvo Penta TAD1170-72VE
• Volvo Penta TAD1150-52VE
• Volvo Penta TAD1140-42VE

• Engine Family: TAD

⚙️ Key Features

• Factory-matched internal diameter and end geometry
• Moulded routing reduces kinking and chafe risk
• Fitment controlled by complete product and serial number

🔌 Function

Carries the assigned coolant, oil, fuel, air or hydraulic medium between connected components while accommodating engine vibration and movement.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant weeping or dripping at a hose end, leaving dried white or coloured staining
• Coolant level in the expansion tank falling between checks
• Rubber gone hard and cracked, or soft and swollen so it deforms under light finger pressure
• Hose collapsing when hot, or ballooning near a clamp
• Engine running warmer than usual, or the temperature alarm coming on

🛠️ Service Notes

• Hoses 21831587, 21831589 and 21831593 are three different moulded hoses in the same cooling and expansion-tank circuit, so match the part number to the run rather than to appearance
• Renew the clamps when the hose is changed, then pressure-test the system and re-check the clamps after a heat cycle
