🔧 Product Description

Support bracket for the TAD1140-TAD1142VE exhaust pipe. It carries pipe weight and controls vibration while allowing the exhaust joint and V-clamp to remain correctly aligned.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

• Volvo Penta TAD1170-72VE
• Volvo Penta TAD1150-52VE
• Volvo Penta TAD1140-42VE

• Engine Family: TAD

⚙️ Key Features

• Inlet and Exhaust System group support bracket, 0.935 kg
• Listed for 3 TAD series applications
• Supports the exhaust pipe and keeps the V-clamp joint aligned

🔌 Function

Carries the exhaust pipe's weight and damps its vibration, holding the run in line so the exhaust joint and its V-clamp stay square and sealed.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Exhaust blowing or hissing at the clamped joint, worst under load
• Sooty deposits or a black witness ring around the V-clamp
• Pipe sagging or pulled out of line with its mating flange
• Bracket cracked at a fixing hole or weld, with rust streaks from the crack, and seized fasteners on removal

🛠️ Service Notes

• Brackets 21831544 at 0.522 kg and 21831548 at 1.225 kg also cover three TAD applications in this group, so order by number from the exhaust installation parts list for your engine
• Support the pipe independently before undoing the bracket, and check the V-clamp and flange faces for strain damage before reassembly
• Expect seized exhaust fasteners and have replacements to hand
