Heavy-duty support bracket used in the TAD13 inlet and exhaust system to locate the air-cleaner or adjoining pipework. The bracket works with its studs and flange nuts to maintain pipe alignment and protect connected hoses and switches from vibration.

Supports and locates intake/exhaust pipework or the air-cleaner assembly so vibration and weight are not carried by hoses and sensor connections.

- Air cleaner or pipework moving or rocking on its mounting
- Cracks radiating from a mounting hole, a weld or a bend in the bracket
- Studs stretched, corroded or their flange nuts working loose
- Hoses or sensor leads chafed where the unsupported pipework has been moving against them
- Corrosion lifting the paint, with scale between the bracket and its mounting face
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the air cleaner mounting and the pipework it carries at the same time, as the weight of an unsupported filter is what cracks these brackets
- Renew rather than straighten a bent bracket, and fit new studs and flange nuts if the threads are stretched or corroded
