🛠️ Service Notes
- Never run the engine with the guard removed or only partly fixed — this is a safety item over a fan that will take a hand or a loose tool
- Renew rather than straighten a guard that has been bent, cracked or has lost material; a distorted guard can foul the fan
- Check clearance to the fan and to belts, hoses and wiring all round after fitting, and turn the engine over by hand to confirm nothing touches
