  • Mount the holder where it stays dry and remains accessible, with its cover or boot fitted and the cable supported so nothing pulls on the terminals
  • Find and fix the fault before fitting a replacement fuse — a fuse that blows again straight away is reporting a short, not a worn-out fuse
