• Air drawn in at the cover, showing as reduced raw-water flow and a hot exhaust
• Seal groove or sealing face scored, damaged or fouled with growth
• Cover seized or its clamp thread stripped, so the strainer cannot be opened for servicing

🛠️ Service Notes

• Supersedes 842722, so an order placed against the old number is filled with this cover
• Renew the cover seal at the same time and lubricate it lightly so it seats without twisting
• Check the strainer basket and the raw-water pump impeller while the housing is open
