• Volvo Penta TAD1643VE-B
• Volvo Penta TAD1670-72VE

• Engine Family: TAD

• Year Range: Approximately 2010 - 2021

⚙️ Key Features

• Bracket for the crankcase-ventilation separator and its pipework on TAD1643VE-B engines
• 0.624 kg
• Listed for 3 applications in the TAD family
• Carries the separator body and the pipe runs into and out of it

🔌 Function

Holds the crankcase-ventilation separator and its pipework in position on the engine, so the pipe runs stay aligned and the separator's weight does not hang on them.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Separator loose or able to be rocked by hand
• Oil mist escaping where a pipe joint has been pulled apart
• Rattle from the separator area that follows engine speed
• Pipe cracked at a bend or at its connection on strip-down
• Bracket cracked or its holes wallowed out

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the ventilation pipework for cracks and chafe before refitting - a separator that has been hanging loose usually strains the pipes first
• Bracket 21865984 in the same family carries exhaust heat shielding, not the separator - order by position
