🔌 Function

Provides the threaded or barbed connection point where a hose joins the circuit, giving the hose a proper sealing seat and the clamp something solid to grip.

  • Weep or drip at the hose joint
  • Coolant or oil level falling with a stain below the connection
  • Crusted deposit ring around the fitting
  • Thread or sealing face damaged or corroded on removal
  • Barb corroded or eroded thin where fluid passes

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the hose and clamp with the connection when they have been sitting in a leak
  • Check the thread in the housing for damage before fitting - a stripped housing thread will not be cured by a new connection
