Structural brace for the heavy-duty cooling package used on TAD1640-TAD1642GE-B generator engines. It stabilises the radiator, fan-ring and expansion-tank assembly against vibration and frame movement.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Radiator, fan ring or expansion tank visibly moving or shaking under load
  • New rattle or drumming from the cooling package at particular engine speeds
  • Cracks radiating from a mounting hole or a welded joint
  • Mounting holes worn oval and fasteners repeatedly loosening
  • Chafed hoses or rubbed paint where the package has been allowed to move against something

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the radiator mounts, rubber isolators and the other braces in the package at the same time, because one failed brace normally leaves the rest overloaded
  • Recheck fan-to-shroud clearance after fitting, since the brace sets the package position
