650 mm suction-type cooling fan used with viscous fan drives on selected TAD5 and TAD8 industrial engines. Blade pitch and diameter are matched to the fan ring, cooling package and clutch speed characteristics.

🔌 Function
Draws cooling air through the radiator/charge-air cooler package in response to engine speed and viscous-clutch engagement.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Cracked, chipped or distorted blades
- Cooling-system overheating
- Fan contact with shroud/ring
- Excessive vibration or imbalance
- Loose hub mounting or failed viscous clutch
🛠️ Service Notes
- Handle the fan carefully and never fit one that is cracked, chipped or distorted — an out-of-balance fan wrecks the pulley bearing and can break up in service
- Check the hub, pulley and drive belt while the fan is off, and make sure the fan turns true with no wobble once fitted
- Fit the fan the correct way round so it moves air in the original direction, and tighten the fasteners evenly to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine
- Confirm the blade tips clear the shroud, hoses and wiring all the way round before starting the engine
