🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta protecting screen from the Cooling System group, weighing 1.701 kg and listed for four TAD series engine applications. It supersedes part number 21166942. The screen guards the cooling package against debris while allowing airflow, so a damaged or distorted screen reduces cooling as well as protection.
🚤 Compatibility
Typically suits:
- Volvo Penta TAD1380-82GE
- Volvo Penta TAD1381-85VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1371-75VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1351-53VE
- Engine Family: TAD
⚙️ Key Features
- Protecting screen for the cooling package
- 1.701 kg
- Supersedes part number 21166942
- Listed for four TAD series engine applications
- Guards the cooling package against debris while passing airflow
🔌 Function
Stops debris reaching the radiator and cooler faces while letting cooling air through, and keeps hands clear of the fan.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Coolant temperature running higher than usual
- Mesh blinded with chaff, leaves or fibres
- Screen dented or distorted so it fouls the fan or presses on the core
- Frame cracked or its mounting holes elongated
- Bent radiator fins where debris has got past a damaged screen
🛠️ Service Notes
- Clean the screen from the airflow side outwards and check the core fins behind it for packed debris at the same time
- Renew a dented screen rather than pressing it back into shape - it must not sit against the fan or bear on the core face
