🔌 Function

The flexible impeller creates suction and pumps seawater through the engine cooling and wet-exhaust system. High-flow impeller matched to the installed TAMD71-75 pump.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Cooling-water discharge is weak
• Impeller blades are cracked, swollen or missing
• Annual or hour-based impeller service is due

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit everything the kit contains at the same time — the gasket, sealing ring and any wear or cover parts are what let the new impeller seal and survive
• Shut the raw water seacock before opening the pump, open it again before starting, and confirm water is discharging with the exhaust
• Check the pump housing and cover face for scoring, pitting and flatness before assembly; whatever the kit does not replace still has to be sound
• Lubricate the impeller with glycerine or whatever the workshop manual for your engine specifies, never mineral grease or oil, and fit it the right way round for the direction of rotation
• Recover every fragment of a broken impeller before reassembly, and check the strainer and heat exchanger if the old one had shed vanes
