🔌 Function

Replaces the rotating shaft, bearings and seal of the seawater pump so the impeller runs true and water is kept out of the drive end.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Rumble or growl from the pump rising with engine speed
• Play at the shaft or drive end when rocked by hand
• Seawater weeping from the weep hole or salt crust below the pump
• Bearings found rough, rusty or dry on strip-down and the shaft grooved at the seal track
• Drive key or pin found sheared

🛠️ Service Notes

• Identify the pump by its casting number before ordering - several of the older heavy-diesel pumps look alike and their shaft kits differ
• Renew the shaft seal and impeller with the kit and check the pump body bore for scoring
