🔌 Function

Separates, guides or retains the hydraulic steering hoses and adjoining components within the transom-shield steering installation.

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Used in the power-steering cylinder installation on DPH and DPR sterndrive steering; this number is the one listed for the starboard cylinder of a twin-engine installation, so check your arrangement before ordering.
  • Work clean and cap or plug open hydraulic connections as soon as they are broken so nothing enters the steering circuit.
  • Renew any seal or gasket disturbed during removal and check the mating faces for burrs, scoring or corrosion before refitting.
  • Top up with the fluid specified for your steering system, bleed it, then turn the drive fully to each lock and check for stiffness, trapped air and any weeping before the boat is used.
