A genuine Volvo Penta non-contact trim-position sender kit introduced for later SX-A, DPS-A and DPS-B transom assemblies. The sensor measures sterndrive angle without a wiping potentiometer and sends the trim-position signal to the EVC and helm display.

🔌 Function

The sensor detects the drive angle and transmits trim-position data to the control system, supporting gauge display, trim-limit logic and drive-position monitoring.

• Trim gauge remains fixed or displays an incorrect angle
• EVC trim-sender or position-signal fault
• Intermittent reading as the drive moves
• Incorrect trim limit or beach-range operation
• Sensor is installed out of index or has not been calibrated

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the kit contents against the parts list for your engine before you start, and confirm it is the kit specified for your engine's serial number — kit contents change between engine versions
• Lay the contents out and identify every item against the assembly as it comes apart, so nothing is left over at the end
• Use all the new parts supplied and discard the old ones, even where an old item still looks serviceable; the kit is packaged as a complete replacement for what it covers
• While access is open, clean and inspect the mating parts that are not in the kit — new seals, gaskets or wearing parts fitted to a worn housing, shaft or face will not last
• Tighten, set and adjust to the figures given in the workshop manual for your engine, and renew any single-use fasteners or locking devices the kit provides
