• Rub marks or scuffing where the cover has been touching a component beneath it
• Grommets or isolators perished, so the cover sits directly on its mounting

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the mounting grommets or isolators with the cover, since a cracked cover is usually the result of perished isolators letting it hammer on its mounts
• Check what the cover has been rubbing on before refitting, as the contact point will still be there with a new cover
