🚤 Compatibility

- Volvo Penta TAD1180-83VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1170-72VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1150-52VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1140-42VE
- Engine Family: TAD
⚙️ Key Features
- TAD1140-TAD1142VE cooling-package application
- Rigid factory support geometry
- Maintains fan and guard alignment
- Works with the specified hub, clutch and guard components
- Engine type: 11-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged industrial diesel
🔌 Function
Supports and locates cooling-system hardware so the fan remains centred in the shroud and aligned with its drive.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Fan visibly off-centre in the shroud, or blade tips touching it
- New vibration or drumming from the cooling package under load
- Cracks starting at a mounting hole or at a formed bend in the bracket
- Bolt holes worn oval and fasteners that keep coming loose
- Bright fretting marks where the bracket has been moving on its mounting face
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the fan hub and its bearing at the same time, since a rough hub is a common cause of the vibration that cracks the bracket
- Recheck fan-to-shroud clearance all the way round after fitting, before running the engine up
