Factory-moulded hose installed in the charge-air and cooling pipework of Volvo Penta 16-litre industrial engines. The hose has the original internal diameter, bead engagement, bend radius and heat/oil-resistant construction required between the charge-air pipe and adjoining cooler connection.

🔌 Function

Carries coolant, charge air or another assigned medium between connected components while accommodating engine movement and vibration.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant or charge-air loss at one of the hose ends, with staining or a dried deposit ring
• Hose soft, spongy or ballooning under pressure, or hard and brittle when squeezed
• Cracks in the rubber at the bead, usually visible only once the clamp is slid back
• Chafe marks or a flat spot where the hose has been touching a bracket or pipe
• Clamp cutting into the hose wall because the rubber has taken a permanent set

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check both pipe beads for corrosion or damage before fitting - a pitted bead will leak with a new hose on it
• Renew the clamps with the hose and retorque them after the first heat cycle
