🛠️ Service Notes

  • Compare the new plate with the one you take off for thickness, hole pattern and orientation before fitting; many plates will bolt up more than one way but only one is right
  • Clean both mating faces and remove all old gasket or sealant residue without scoring the metal
  • Renew any gasket, seal or O-ring disturbed while the plate is off rather than reusing it
  • Draw the fasteners down evenly, in stages and in the sequence and to the figures given in the workshop manual for your engine
