🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta TAD650VE Main Engine Wiring Harness, part number 22068267. A genuine main engine harness used in the Volvo Penta TAD650VE electrical system. It supplies the factory connector layout for the engine control, sensors, actuators and installation interface.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TAD650VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD660VE
  • Engine Family: TAD
  • HP Range: Approximately 200-250 HP
  • Year Range: Approximately 2008 - 2016
  • Serial Range: SN11408634-

⚙️ Key Features

  • Factory branch length, conductor sizing and connector keying
  • Marine- or industrial-grade insulation and sealing
  • Correct pin allocation for the assigned control system
  • Direct replacement for the exact harness or cable configuration
  • Engine type: 5.7L inline six-cylinder turbocharged industrial diesel
  • Also supersedes Volvo part number 20849965

🔌 Function

Carries power, ground, communication or control signals between the specified engine, display, control unit or vessel-side components.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Engine cutting out or derating with codes that clear when a connector is reseated
  • Faults that appear only at certain engine speeds, as vibration opens a poor joint
  • Green corrosion or water inside a connector housing
  • Terminals backed out of a housing so the pin only makes contact when pressed
  • Chafed or scorched insulation where a branch has moved out of its clips

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Listed for TAD650VE engines from serial number 11408634 onwards, so confirm the engine serial before ordering
  • It supersedes both 20886142 and 21815071, so engines listed against either older number take this harness
