- Volvo Penta TWD1663GE

⚙️ Key Features
- Structural stay for the heavy-duty radiator and pusher-fan cooling package
- 2.352 kg
- Listed for 7 applications in the TWD series
🔌 Function
Braces the cooling package against the engine or frame, taking the fan and radiator loads in tension and compression so the package cannot move on its mountings.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Cooling package rocking or shifting under load
- Fan-to-shroud clearance closing up on one side
- Cracks at the end fixings or along the stay
- Bolt holes elongated, or fixings that will not stay tight
- Bright fretting marks at the mounting faces
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the fan clearance and the package isolators whenever a stay is renewed, as a broken stay usually lets the fan touch before anything else is noticed
