Complete air-cleaner housing assembly for TAD1140-TAD1142VE engines. It accepts standard filter insert 21386706 or heavy-duty insert 21386644 and incorporates the intake outlet, restriction monitoring and dust-drain components.

🔌 Function

Removes dust and debris from intake air before it reaches the turbocharger and engine.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • High air-restriction warning
  • Dust downstream of the element
  • Cracked housing or loose cover
  • Damaged collar allowing unfiltered air entry

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Never run the engine without the air cleaner in place — unfiltered air wears the bores and, on a turbocharged engine, will damage the compressor
  • Check the element seats squarely and that the cover fasteners or clamps pull the seal down evenly all round; air that bypasses the filter does the same damage as no filter at all
  • Inspect the intake hose, clamps and joints between the air cleaner and the engine for splits and looseness whenever the filter is serviced
  • Do not wash or beat out a paper element to stretch its life; fit a clean element at the interval given for your engine and duty
  • Keep the intake drawing the cleanest, driest air available, and make sure any dust ejector or drain is clear and positioned so it can discharge
