🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit the hose without twist or tension and route it clear of hot surfaces and sharp edges — a small kink or rub point in an oil feed will end the bearing it supplies
• Renew the sealing washers or O-rings at both unions rather than reusing them, and clean the union faces before assembly
• Make sure the hose and the feed passage behind it are clear and clean; after a bearing or turbocharger failure the debris is still in the supply line and a new unit will fail again on a restricted feed
• Tighten the unions to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine — overtightening distorts the fitting and is a common cause of a weep that never cures
• Prime the feed and confirm oil reaches the union before the engine is loaded, then check every joint for leaks with the engine warm
