A genuine Volvo Penta complete lower gear housing for DPS-B1, DPS-D and DPS-D1 DuoProp sterndrives.
This unit was supplied as a DPS-D1 2.32:1 application. The lower gear housing itself is shared across 1.95:1, 2.14:1 and 2.32:1 drive configurations, with the final overall reduction determined by the matched upper gear housing.
The assembly uses two counter-rotating propeller shafts to improve acceleration, low-speed handling, directional stability and propeller grip.

🔌 Function
The lower gear housing transfers power from the vertical driveshaft through the bevel gears to two counter-rotating propeller shafts. The opposing propeller rotation reduces steering torque and improves thrust, manoeuvrability and acceleration.
