Rigid oil-pressure pipe used in a Volvo Penta D8 lubrication system. It supersedes pipe 21229875 and is related to later pipe 23785790 and oil-pump assemblies 22391513 and 22048379.

🔌 Function
Carries pressurised engine oil between the oil pump/housing and lubrication gallery.

🛠️ Service Notes
- Keep everything clean and cap the openings while the pipe is off — debris in an oil pressure line reaches a bearing surface
- Fit new sealing washers to banjo unions and new O-rings where used; a fresh annealed washer seals, a used one usually does not
- Start both unions by hand and let the pipe find its natural line before tightening; do not spring or bend it to reach, as a strained pipe cracks at the union
- Refit the original clips and brackets so the pipe cannot vibrate against anything, and tighten unions to the manual figure — overtightening a banjo bolt crushes the washer and the fitting and guarantees a leak
- Run the engine after fitting, check the unions for weeping and the oil pressure for a normal reading, then recheck when hot
