🛠️ Service Notes

• Refit the strap with any rubber or insulating pad, sleeve or liner that belongs with it, so the band does not bear directly on the component it holds
• Tighten enough to stop the component moving without crushing or distorting it, and check that it cannot rotate or creep once tightened
• Check where the strap passes over hoses, pipes and wiring, and make sure nothing is trapped or chafing beneath or against it
• Renew a strap that is corroded, cracked, stretched or has lost its liner rather than refitting it
• Re-check the strap after the first period of running, as mountings and liners settle once the installation has been used
