🛠️ Service Notes

• Flush the system before fitting a new radiator; scale and debris carried over from the old one will lodge in the new core and undo the job
• Fill with Volvo Penta coolant mixed to the concentration specified for your engine, mixed in a clean container beforehand rather than adding concentrate and water separately into the system
• Fill slowly and vent properly — open any bleed nipples shortly after starting, run up to temperature, let it cool and top up; expect to repeat this over the first few heat cycles as trapped air works its way out
• Fit the pressure cap specified for the system and renew it if the seal has hardened or the cap is corroded, or the system will not hold its designed pressure; never open a cap while hot
• Mount on its own rubbers or isolators with the fixings free of strain, and while access is good renew any hose that has gone hard or spongy and check clips and fan clearance
