22273601 Aquamatic Drive | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Complete DPR-D high-performance Aquamatic sterndrive with an overall gear ratio of 1.46:1. It is supplied as a complete drive assembly and must be matched to the vessel's engine rating, transom shield, propeller set and DPR-D product number.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

• Volvo Penta DPR-D

• Engine Family: DPR

⚙️ Key Features

• Complete DPR-D sterndrive assembly
• Overall ratio 1.46:1
• Counter-rotating propeller output
• High-performance marine application
• Related later/alternate complete drives 22846224 and 22846226
• Engine type: Volvo Penta high-performance sterndrive propulsion

🔌 Function

Transfers engine torque through the upper and lower gear sets to the counter-rotating propeller shafts while allowing steering and hydraulic trim.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Water-contaminated lubricant
• Excess propeller-shaft or steering play
• Loss of forward or reverse propulsion

🛠️ Service Notes

• At around 98 kg this drive is noticeably lighter than the related complete drives 22846224 and 22846226 also listed against this range - don't assume interchangeability from the weight difference alone, since ratio and product number are what actually determine fitment
• Confirm the 1.46:1 ratio and DPR-D product number against the vessel's specification and propeller set before ordering
