Genuine Volvo Penta tilt mechanism for the steering helm, giving five locking positions across a 48 degree range, plus or minus 24 degrees, so the driver can set the wheel angle to suit. It weighs 1.742 kg and is listed for 335 applications. It is the mechanism that has to be ordered separately for every tilt mount installation, both the hydraulic tilt helm pumps 22275076, 22275077 and 22275078 and the mechanical tilt planetary helm gears 21580932 and 3818027. It supersedes adjusters 21581323 and 3841280.

🔌 Function

Allows the steering wheel and helm unit to be tilted and locked securely at the driver's preferred angle.

• Tilt mount helms are rated for wheels up to 508 mm rather than the 711 mm allowed on fixed helms, so check the wheel size when specifying a tilt installation
• This one mechanism serves both the hydraulic and the mechanical tilt helms, so it is the same order whichever system the boat has
• Check that the wheel clears the dash through the whole 48 degrees before finalising the position
